Hello! I'm Emma. I am a multi-passionate artist who makes all kinds of things including photos, which I started exploring when I was probably 12 years old. I have been a professional photographer for over 15 years and believe that one of my superpowers is that I can emotionally connect with most people almost instantly. I use that ability to connect during sessions and really try to make images that are real, joyful and celebrate who people are. I want people to feel something when they see my images, to look beyond the pose or the clothes or the lighting. For me, it's all about really seeing people. The biggest compliment that I receive from clients over and over again is that they felt comfortable with me and felt seen in a way they rarely feel in their lives.
In addition to my photography business, I also run Emma Freeman Designs, my art business where I make and sell drawings, cyanotypes that I make with natural objects and the sun, nature prints and my latest adventure is my own little shop inside The Mall of Saint Paul in Saint Paul, Minnesota where I sell my artwork and beautiful pieces that I collect including ceramics, fabric, clothing, jewelry, books, dishes and cute mugs. You can learn all about that part of my life at www.emmafreemandesigns.com!
I have a degree in Studio Art and Philosophy from Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I live in Saint Paul, Minnesota with my wife and our crew of rescue animals.
